Travel & stay

From the plane to the cliff

Airport: Gran Canaria Airport (LPA). Direct flights from mainland Spain and much of Europe.
By car: About 45 minutes to Gáldar. Hiring one is easiest if you are bringing kit.
The road: GC-1, then GC-2 along the north coast. The final descent to the cliff is narrow.
On foot: You park up top and walk down. Closed shoes: the ground is loose rock.
Without a car: Line 60 from the airport to San Telmo (25 min), then the 105 from the same station to Gáldar (1 h). From the town to the cliff you need a taxi or a car.

Where to sleep

Gáldar: The event's own town. Closest, and the first to fill up.
Sardina del Norte: Fishing village with a beach, minutes from the cliff.
Agaete: Harbour, natural pools and the valley. A quiet base.
Las Palmas: The city, Las Canteras and far more choice. Half an hour by car.
